I'm pleased to present this landscape in my National Parks Series, Moran Point Grand Canyon. This piece is all about reflected light of the setting sun at dusk casting an other-worldly glow into canyon crevasses. I'm using a complementary color harmony of blue violets and red violets contrasting with the yellow orange glow of sunlight and the warm greens of the foliage. The vast structures of eroded rock are simplified and organized into geometric patterns creating a visually stimulating and pleasing design.
