Boulder, CO: April - May 2020 – The National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) presents Ruth Soller solo exhibition This Land is Our Land. Soller is showing 24 of her vibrant modernist oil paintings of National Parks and western vistas with emphasis on conservancy and preservation of our natural parklands. Inspired by travel and plein air studies, Soller’s magical landscapes express passion through brilliant hues and dramatic contrasts. Soller builds up layers of oil paint on a sienna-toned linen or canvas. Once varnished her paintings take on a translucent depth similar to stained glass. Soller was feature artist in the 25th Anniversary Issue of Mountain Living Magazine and the Inspiring Stories section of Voyage Denver Magazine. Soller received Awards of Excellence for five landscape paintings from Manhattan Arts International in separate international competitions.
